I bought this fabric from this seller first in Sept last year, I didn't have a project in mind that I'd use it on I was just so attracted to the stunning colours and pattern, so had it in my fabric stash for a while.I make patchwork animals to my own design and sell them to raise money for charity. After some thought I decided it was perfect colours to blend in with some poly cotton quilting fabric to make a fox to add to my woodland collection, so Mr Fox was born. He's proved very popular and mainly due to the lovely bright and cheerful colours in this fabric. The green and blue piece in the bundle is ideal for my marine and fresh water subjects like seals, fish, frogs etc.Due to the pattern and colours of the fabric you can use just a small amount to get a big result, so it goes a long way. Obviously if you make something like a tote bag then you'd use a whole piece, as it looks great with some poly cotton added to it. There's so many colours in the pattern you're spoilt for choice with co-ordinating or contrasting fabrics to go with it.The fabric is very slightly thicker than quilting cotton but works with it perfectly, so would be ideal in any patchwork project. This fabric is really great quality and a nice thickness to work with.I can highly recommend it. I can't say how it washes because I don't wash my fabric for the animals as they're not toys so don't need washing, all I can advise is that it brings a dash of colour to anything you want to make giving it a classy high end finish.So yes I'd highly recommend it. It's worth buying just to keep in your fabric stash until you get that light bulb moment we crafters get, when we find that perfect project we want to use it for.
